The first week of the 52 weeks thing project is about to wrap up. Thanks to everyone who participated.

You can see all the posts here. Be sure to move the heart slider to zero before viewing or you will not see all the posts. You’re encouraged to be liberal with the hearts. Show encouragement to your fellow 52ers because a lot of them are doing a project like this for the first time and there were many “Should I do this? Is this idea good enough?” thoughts going around this week.

Of course you should do it. Of course it’s good enough.

The very first week out proved that you can interpret the theme any way you want and come out with something fantastic. We had photographs, essays, videos and even a cooking lesson. The creativity was flowing and that is the entire purpose of this project, to encourage creativity.

I was going to use this place each week to link to all the posts but the tagged page on tumblr does an excellent job of that. So for now, this will be the place where I write a little something about the past week, post any important messages and open up the comments in case you have something to say about the week’s work.

There is an about page for anyone who stumbles upon this, and there is a participants page with links to all their tumblrs. They are both linked up top.

Starting soon, this place will also have weekly blurbs about each of the people in the 52 weeks project. Other than that, I really have no idea what I’m doing with this site so if you have any suggestions, have at it. Trying to figure out how to redirect the tumblr to this site, too. Any help there would be spiffy.

The new theme will posted after midnight. I’ll also be opening up a question post for more theme suggestions. We have plenty but it’s nice to have more than enough. Each week @missambiguous takes all the suggestions and puts them in a randomfier thingie. Whatever comes out, that’s our theme.

THIS IS IMPORTANT: Please make sure you tag your submissions with both the week’s tag (tumblr52-2) AND just tumblr52. It will make it a lot easier to find new posts for the week, but will also allow us to have all the submissions in one place.
